The statistical offices compile their results with a legal basis, using generally approved statistical and calculating methods involving extensive plausibility and quality checks and thus with the highest possible degree of reliability.

The statistical offices do not accept any liability for possible setting errors and for the correctness of the entries. They do not accept any liability either for damages arising out of the improper handling of the statistical data.

As the Internet is a decentralised system of interlinked networks, its operations involve intermediate storage and the passing on of temporary data. It holds true for all Internet information services that at present manipulation and erroneous falsification cannot be ruled out completely and the use only of current data cannot be guaranteed (e.g. outdated version in the user’s cache) on the channel from supplier to user. Therefore we do not accept any liability for data transmitted online not being identical with the original data.
